A Slight Change in Plans

Justin: It's funny, really... Last week Stace and I found out that there was a slight issue concerning our beloved wedding venue in the mountains. It seems that Monday evening there was a fire in the restaraunt. A small kitchen fire, perhaps? Some smoke damage to the dining hall? Maybe some water damage?
No...
It burned to the ground.
Evidently there was an electrical fire in the attic and well, you can see the result.
So needless to say, we were a bit stressed last week. Combine everything else that happened over the course of those seven days and by Sunday you have two people who were about ready to simply "pop".
We left Sunday morning to go see the damage ourselves and to scout around for a new venue. Nothing like having to start over planning a wedding with 5 weeks until the date. We were looking at peoples' yards, churches as we drove along, fields to possibly rent... And then we arrived at the Nantahala Village and spoke with our most favorite person, Maggie. Maggie informed us that they occasionally do weddings there actually on the property and went into great detail as to the options available. We took a look at a site and at the reception deck and decided right there to just have it all in the Village. WHOO HOO!
AND, on top of that goodness, I received a phone call from my father saying that my little sister had finally given birth to her second son, Cooper.
DOUBLE BONUS!
He's a beautiful and healthy boy, destined for great sporting adventures if his father has anything to do with it. My nephew Hayden was running around with a T-shirt that read "I'm the Big Brother!" on it. Unfortunately I've only seen pictures as I haven't had the chance to go see him yet, but when I do, I'll post pics, don't worry.
So Stace and I will start getting the correction cards out this week and letting everyone know that the ceremony site has changed. Hopefully it won't cause too much confusion or inconvenience.
Everyone please send my grandmother lots of healthy juju and prayers as she had an accident last week and needs the help.
Be safe and well.
